New Zuari Bridge’s 4 Lanes To Be Ready By June 2021

By the end of 2021, all eight lanes of the Zuari bridge are expected to be completed. The ground level part will be completed by June while the elevated part will be done by the year-end. four lanes of this new bridge will be ready by the end of May or the beginning of June 2021.

“The deadline would not be stretched any further, as the work is being carried out non-stop on war-footing, all 24 hours,” Minister for Public Works Deepak Pauskar said. The four-lane road leading towards the bridge will also be done by that time. The service road under the bypass at Baixode Igreja, Agassaim shall be repaired too after the bridge is fully constructed.

The minister also revealed that the hot-mixing of 40 constituencies’ roads will be carried out. After that, it will be prohibited for roads to be dug up for the following 3 years. Additionally, by the month of May, the Patradevi to Guirim National Highway will be opened to the public.
