10th April, 2017: Forest officials at the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary in Sattari Taluka have confirmed the presence of five tigers within the sanctuary. This data was arrived at with the help of the camera trap technology which has so far photographed five different tigers. In total, one male, two females and two cubs are speculated to inhabit Mhadei. Time and again there has been evidence of tiger presence inside Mhadei, with one of the confirmed tiger sightings reported in 2013. The latest data will help the forest officials monitor the tiger movement and help in conservation efforts as well. For tiger lovers, this is a highly joyful piece of information, without any doubt.
