5 Awesome Sunday Brunches

As the Portuguese marched into the Goan hinterlands, Catholicism emerged as a religion and the churches that were erected then prevail as mighty religious structures.

Sundays are bound to be the laziest of all days. Be it de-stressing from all the deadlines you tried to close in the past week or a getting smashed in party on Saturday night, lazing around on Sunday’s acts as quite a medicine. But no matter how enticing sitting back on your couch, sipping beer, and watching back to back episodes of your favourite sitcom may sound; the thrill of going out, meeting people, indulging in some lip smacking food, and rejoicing to the luxury that properties in Goa have to offer has its own charm. For you to have a ravishing Sunday, we have put together 5 of the most anticipated Sunday brunches in Goa.

The Dining Room at Grand Hyatt Goa
The first thing that pops up in my head when I think of Sunday brunch is an image of me lounging by the pool and sipping some sparkling wine at Grand Hyatt. Being one of my top favourites, the brunch at the Dining Room is replete with things that’ll spoil you beyond imagination. With over 5 live interactive food counters, free-flowing beverages, access to the main pool, complimentary wifi, and of course, grooving to Crystal’s voice as she plays some live tunes; this brunch fits the bill perfectly!

La Brise by Novotel Goa Shrem Resort
After the discontinuation of the sensational Sunday Frunch at the Square by Novotel Goa Shrem Resort; Novotel brought their highly frequented brunch to another level. Their newest property called La Brise nestled on a very solitary and private portion of Candolim Beach has an all new and far more exciting brunch on offer. Being on the beachfront, La Brise offers a magnificent setting to laze around and sample their live grills, sumptuous buffet, unlimited beverages, and a hell lot of entertainment.

Latitude at Vivanta by Taj
When it comes to Panjim, there are hardly any places that offer a delightfully satiating brunch. However, The Latitude at Vivanta by Taj Panaji has left this perception far behind with their latest brunch menu. The all day dining restaurant offers an array of meats and seafood at an interactive live barbecue counter, an elaborate spread of desserts, wood fired pizzas from a live pizza and pasta counter, shawarmas from a live shawarma counter, and of course, a hell lot of comfort food to sample from. The menu is very dynamic and keeps undergoing changes but what doesn’t change is the heart warming service that you get.

Love at The Park, Calangute
It’s quite hard to imagine that the crowded beach belt of Calangute has a property that won’t fail to enthrall you with their culinary excellence and exceptional service. Well, the Park Calangute has all you need to make your vacation or your weekend extra special. What adds to the charm is their bikini brunch that they host every Sunday. Replete with wood fired pizzas, a live barbeque counter, an array of continental salads, mouth watering comfort food, select desserts, free-flowing cocktails, a mesmerizing sea view and of course, live entertainment; this brunch is the best thing that ever happened to Calangute.

Da Luigi at Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa
There’s no doubt that Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa is one of the finest hotel properties in Goa delivering high quality luxury hospitality services to their guests. It’s also not surprising that their F&B outlets like Casa Sarita and Da Luigi serve out-of-the-ordinary food but what might surprise you is the ecstasy that the Italian brunch at Da Luigi will delight you with as you devour their authentic Italian servings. The brunch is replete with an unlimited selection of antipasti, authentic pizzas, handmade pastas and a spread of delicate desserts.
