Bombay to Goa
This film released in 1973, starring the then relatively unknown Amitabh Bachchan and Aruna Irani. This hilarious comedy adventure is a trippy tale of the protagonists’ journey by bus from Bombay to Goa along with a motley crew of fellow bus passengers. The success of this movie not only gave Amitabh Bachchan his big break but also started the trend of road trips to Goa.

The story of starcrossed lovers was endearingly told by Raj Kapoor in this romantic classic with the debut of his own son Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. Dimple who in the movie plays a naïve Goan girl falls in love with a rich scion and what follows is a tale of young nubile love, immortal songs, and a tragic end.

Finding Fanny
An endearing love story that follows a group of eclectic characters across the length and breadth of Goa as they go looking for Fanny the childhood sweetheart of Naseeruddin Shah. The movie also stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Pankaj Kapur and Dimple Kapadia who assist Shah in his quest to find the love of his life.
