6 Hour Long Traffic Jam At Zuari Bridge

On Monday, there was a huge traffic jam on both the sides of the Zuari bridge. The main reasons for this were small accidents and breakdowns of vehicles. This resulted in congestion at various areas like Vasco, Verna, Margao, Cortalim, Agassaim, Thana, and Ponda. The chaos started at 1:45 pm and only improved approximately at 8 pm.

Traffic police inspector, Sudesh Narvekar, revealed that there were two vehicle breakdowns. Additionally, four minor accidents on the road leading to the Zuari bridge contributed to the traffic. The State of Goa saw the arrival of a large number of tourists from Karnataka and Maharashtra. This is due to the fact that Republic Day was on Tuesday which definitely worsened the traffic flow.
