Galgibaga beach witnessed something beautiful. 80 Olive Ridley turtle hatchlings were released to live their lives under the sea. These babies were from the first nest of 117 eggs. They were laid on January 3.
There are seven other turtle pits under incubation in Galgibaga. Another beach known for Olive Ridley turtle nesting is Agonda beach. 20 more pits are yet to hatch here – 2,049 eggs in total.
