A 9-step plan has been created to reduce accidents in Goa

To make the roads of Goa safer and reduce accidents, the Goa Road Safety Forum (GRSF) has made a plan with 9 steps of action to achieve this. It includes improving public transport and correcting defective road engineering.

The forum suggested that the government should use social media for reporting traffic violations. They also said that the transport department can make people aware of how to drive safely by setting up message boards at prominent locations.

With the opinions of road safety experts, the forum will submit suggestions to the government regarding road design changes and road furniture at critical points. Each city will be examined to see if there are missing signboards and other engineering mistakes that go against the established Indian Roads Congress (IRC) norms.

Another plan of theirs is to nominate experts on road safety in village panchayats and traffic management committees.
