Animals come alive through augmented reality Goa postcards!

Who knew that postcards of Goa could be involved with augmented reality technology?!

Picture postcards of four wildlife animals were released by the Goa postal division along with the forest department. These beautiful animals seem to come alive when the QR codes on the images are scanned!

The senior superintendent of posts, Sudhir Jakhere, felt that nowhere in the world do postcards offer an experience like this. A special cover and cancellation on Myristica Swamps have been released as well. Additionally, postcards on the Indian leopard, Kingfisher, and Olive Ridley turtles were released too.

After scanning, the 2D image turns into a 3D visual. This augmented reality technology for the postcards was developed by Lance D’Mello.
