Ashvem Beach is nestled between the Mandrem Beach to the north and the serene Morjim Beach to the south. It is a rocky beach that has been shaped by shellfish, giving the rocks a unique shape. The beach is not very crowded which adds to its beauty and provides complete solitude and peace. If you want to party, Ashvem is not the place to be. Ashvem Beach is a beach where you can sit back, relax on a sunbed and watch the waves crash by or watch the evening sun sink into the horizon.
Most people come to this Ashvem Beach during the day for sunbathing and swimming, but there are some great options for dinner and accommodation too. For a break from sunbathing, venture into the charming villages nearby. The villages are surrounded by coconut groves, forests and fields.
Things to do: Grab a sunbed, relax, watch the sun go down and enjoy the feeling of doing nothing. Walk inland to explore the charming Goan village life. Stroll on the mile long fine sand and listen to soothing sounds of lapping waves and rustle of palm leaves. Play in the sea and let the warm waters of Arabian Sea relax your body. Dine at the lovely shacks who offer great local, Indian and international food.
Location: North Goa, 21 kilometers from Mapusa and 33 kilometers from Panjim. The closest railway station is Pernem.
