Beach shacks have opened in Goa!

Some beach shacks in Goa have opened for the tourist season!

Seeing the increase in the number of tourists, beach shack operators have sprung into action to set up their structures and some have already started operating. However, they are concerned about the unpredictable rain which could damage their shacks.

The shack operators are determined to open no matter what the weather is as they already faced two bad tourist seasons because of the pandemic and the three-year validity of shacks expires this season.

The hope that keeps them going is the rise in the number of tourists since last month. This is what is making them get their shacks ready despite the unexpected rains which could damage their electrical appliances and other materials.

The beach shack policy states that shacks have to be built using eco-friendly material and plastic shouldn’t be used. Unfortunately, because of the rains, the operators are forced to use plastic sheets on the roofs to prevent water from dripping inside.
