Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary now has NIGHT trails!

Now, the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary won’t be thought of as just a zoo. Why? Because wildlife lovers are getting to explore the place through guided trails!

Since Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) have received enthusiastic responses for their monsoon treks, they decided to start night and nature trails in the sanctuary. The night trails last for one and a half hours. Other than this, there are daytime activities where people can interact with foresters.

Most people just think of ‘Bondla Zoo’ and aren’t aware that there is so much more to explore. Forest officials want people to know more about wildlife and how to protect them. There are many animals here like the barking deer, mouse deer, and spotted deer. Bondla terrain is hilly and has many streams. Those on the trail will see wildflowers, amphibians, birds, butterflies, etc. During the rains, a variety of colourful mushrooms pop up and freshwater fish can be spotted.

The night trails were made for visitors to have a unique experience in Goa.
