Bridge From The Portuguese Era In Goa To Be Restored

In the village of Canacona, Goa, lies the Ardhofond bridge which is from the Portuguese era. The repairs of this bridge which people were waiting for will finally start soon. Deputy speaker and Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes revealed that Rs1.8 crore has been sanctioned to renovate the bridge. Additionally, Rs. 2 Crore has been given to restore the Mashem bridge.

As a lot of vehicles use highways, the hot-mixing of the NH 66 old highway from Gulem to Polem, via Chaudi, Shristhal, Bhatpal, Poinguinim Mashem to Polem will start today. Fernandes also announced that PWD minister Deepak Pauskar will launch public works costing Rs12 crore.
