The Kadamba Transport Corporation of Goa has made changes so that people with disabilities have a better experience. This includes disabled-friendly toilets, reserved parking, and wheelchair facilities in control rooms.
There are two wheelchairs at the Panjim bus stand. One wheelchair is kept at Shiroda, Ponda, Cuncolim, Canacona, Curchorem, Margao, Mapusa, Pernem, Assonora, Sanquelim, Honda, and Valpoi bus stand control rooms.
The commission took note of the fact that the bus stops didn’t have basic facilities like Braille signs, wheelchair-friendly toilets, etc. KTC then gave a detailed report with all the changes made. The Head of the investigation cell then visited the bus stands to confirm it. He noted that there are ramps present at the bus stands and disabled-friendly toilets are available at some of the bus stands as well. Public announcement systems and audio-visual systems are there too.
