I hail from

Grew up in Bombay. Left Mumbai.

The first time I came to Goa

Baga beach was lovely. Yup, long time ago.

What made me want to settle

In 2015, it was more about getting out of the city for a bit. Once in Goa, the decision to settle here seemed obvious. I suspect it was the fish thalis.

I’ve been here for

Just over three years. Long enough to get a ‘chappal tan’ on my feet.

Here, I keep myself occupied with

I’m a freelance writer. Which means I’ve probably missed my deadline for this!

My favourite dining place in Goa is…and why…

Hard to pick between Bhatti Village in Candolim and Meiphung in Baga. Authentic food, homey vibes. Have always left both places in a food coma.

My must visit recommendations in Goa are…

Botanique for a swim, No Nasties to shop, choris-poi at Valanka in

Colva.

I go for a beach bumming day to

Silver Sands, Morjim

What I do every time I get a chance…

Go for a swim. Beach, pool, freshwater ponds.

What I would never do in Goa is…

Miss an afternoon nap.

My challenges of living in Goa are…

Maybe the power cuts… but you learn to work around most things.

My tips to people who want to move here are

DON’T! There are already too many of us here!
