Neha Murali’s Holiday In Goa

By Neha Murali, Architect

I was in Goa last in

November of 2018.

I stayed in

the heart of the city of Panjim, right in the church square with a friend.

I came with

a childhood friend of mine, Anarghya Pai.

I chose to holiday in Goa because

who wouldn’t? I’ve heard so much about it from my friends so I had to try it out – the sun, the sand and the susegado lifestyle!

For us Goa is

a second home now. Goa turned out to be a thrilling adventure for me!

One dish I couldn’t stop devouring was

the red cooked paneer from Goenchin!

A typical tourist thing I did was

visiting the Reis Magos fort.

My favorite place to eat at was

definitely at the apartment I stayed in, which soon became

my home.

My favorite beach was

definitely Morjim Beach!

The most breathtaking location I visited was

Virdi Waterfall!

The funniest thing I experienced was

this hilarious friend that I made, Declan, in my stay over here.

What souvenir did you take from here?

More than anything materialistic, I took back friendships that I don’t think I will ever lose.

The most memorable moment of my trip was

lying on the beach be with my friends, hearing the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore, with not a worry on my mind.

Things I missed out on this time, but plan to cover the next time

would be to experience the more local culture of Goa – to try out all its delicacies and celebrate its traditional festivities like the carnival, Christmas etc
