Trupti Wesley (Proprietor, The Chikoo Tree Project) talks about what settling down in the land of sun, sand and fun is all about:

I hail from…

Mysore, famed for its royal heritage, rich culture and magnificent monuments. I spent my growing years in different parts of the country

I chose to settle in Goa because …

Of my husband, who made it his home much before I arrived here

I have been in Goa for …

Exactly 2 years

My bread and butter in Goa come from…..

Feeding people. I run a bistro called The Chikoo Tree Project in Madgaon

Life in Goa to me is all about …

The superior quality of life it offers, heartwarming interactions with its residents and its abundant wildlife

My favourite place to dine out is…

Fame, at The Planet Hollywood Beach Resort, Uttorda. The Pan Asian Sunday brunch is one of its kind in Goa and an absolute must try.

When not at work, I am at ….

Home, with my son, husband and our brood of four felines or bird watchingat Bondla

I “beach-bum” at …..

Agonda beach

Must – do things in Goa ….

Dine at The Chikoo Tree Project, obviously! Explore South Goa, walking.

‘Susegado’ to me means ……

Living life to the fullest

My advice to those planning to settle in Goa …

Go for it! You are lucky to have the opportunity to live and make Goa your home. Be grateful, respect Goa’s natural environment and keep it clean.
