The Cafe Bhonsle square in Goa’s capital city, Panjim, could soon become traffic-free!
This can be achieved through the plan of Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL). The end goal of the plan is to beautify the Cafe Bhonsle square, close the area for vehicles, and let pedestrians roam freely there.
The IPSCDL hopes to finish this project within 12 months. As of now, the area has a messy arrangement of parked cars and traffic. This will be dealt with using hydraulic retractable bollards. Objections may be made for this as traders feel that they’ll lose business.
They also want to construct an amusement park. This will have a climbing wall and a play area for children. The deadline for the park is 3 months.
