Cola Beach

Cola Beach is one of Goa’s finest beaches, the sand is soft and the water clear. There are a few rocks in the sea here and there but otherwise, it’s a calm little beach with plenty of good swimming depth and if you’re lucky, you might have an encounter with dolphins. The gorgeous freshwater lagoon is as inviting as a softy on a hot humid day. An absolute favourite of all the visitors here, the lagoon sees more swimmers in action than the sea itself at Cola. A perfect spot to laze around all day in an inflatable lounger! The Blue lagoon is a lovely little shack with a panoramic view of the beach. An intimate escape, Cola Beach is a recluse’s paradise, with little or no commercial activity happening on the beach (there aren’t any hawkers selling trinkets, or tattoo artists or masseurs doing the rounds on the beach beds) it’s the place to be if you are really looking to relax and unwind, rediscover and rejuvenate. The biggest plus point for Cola Beach is that the crowd here is limited, possibly because most are put off by the journey itself or get lost in transition and end up at the more famous Agonda and Palolem.

Things to do: It is one of the remote beaches of Goa that is suitable for those seeking a lovely place for complete peace and relaxation. The beach is a perfect place for those who want a tranquil Goa holiday experience as it is a completely unspoilt beach that offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life and is also much cleaner and quieter than the better known Goa beaches. As one finds the Cola Beach in an almost hidden location, the exotic beauty and tranquility of the place takes your breath away!

Location: Dabolim Airport is about a 90-minutes drive away. Cola Beach by road is 15 minutes from the more famous, busy Palolem Beach.
