Certainly off the beaten track and somewhere between the well known Palolem and Patnem Beaches, Colomb Bay is a difficult find. The beach is a precious stretch of a C-curve with lots of gentle giant rocks strewn in the sea. The water is just a few steps away from the shack and the scenery simply breathtaking. Home to fisher-folk, Colomb Bay is dotted with kayaks, fishing boats and nets and gentle sea breeze, the water is calm and the whole place is filled with a peaceful Zen. Colomb Bay is preferred by young families and long term travellers alike. A very friendly community, clean, yet alternative vibe, and lovely safe bathing make this quiet haven in south Goa a completely relaxing beach holiday destination.
Things to do: Colomb has some great dining places like the Kashmiri restaurant at Secret Garden, Magic View, Hidden Gourmet, Laguna Vista and Boom Shankar. Neptune’s Point, home to the famous Silent Noise weekly headphone parties is to the north of this bay.
Location: Dabolim Airport is about a 90-minutes drive away. Colomb Bay by road is 15 minutes from the more famous, busy Palolem Beach.
