Dabolim Airport To Get New Parking Facility

Within two months, the new multi-level car parking facility at Dabolim Airport will be ready to use. On Thursday, Mauvin Godinho – Transport Minister, put down the foundation stone for the new project. Godinho said, “This parking space facility will be ready by November this year. The facility will be able to accommodate 15 buses, 200 four-wheelers and 180 two-wheelers.” Drivers will be able to wait in that area and even rest in between picking up passengers. There will be restrooms as well. “Plans to get additional land near the other grade separator are on to solve the haphazard parking issue as there will be sufficient, dedicated parking space at the airport,” Godinho revealed. Approximately 586sqm of land from the 5,900 sqm will be kept as green belt.
