Do not go to Dudhsagar waterfalls for the next few days!! Why? Due to the heavy rainfall, the water levels over there rose which caused the footbridge to tilt. Around 40 people got stranded. Drishti lifeguards had to rush and help them cross over to the other side. Some people had to be carried! Even locals hastened to help them.
Anand Jadhav, Deputy conservator of forests (Mollem), revealed that the bridge got displaced as the rainfall made the Dudhsagar catchment area’s water level rise. The temporary bridge is set up every year before the season officially begins. A sudden rush of water made the bridge face a similar problem last year too.
Drishti Marine has warned people not to go to the Dudhsagar waterfalls for a few days.
