Easter weekend return trips from Goa to be more expensive

Holidayers who have come to Goa for an ‘Easter’ holiday will have an expensive return trip back home. Some return flight ticket prices have become four times the normal rate!

For example, taking a flight from Goa to Bangalore will be Rs 12,000 per ticket instead of the normal Rs 3500. After the Easter weekend, going to Kolkata will be more than Rs 12,200 for one ticket. The airfare price for Goa to Chennai on Sunday & Monday is Rs 12,200 instead of the normal fare of Rs 4,400.

Even bus fares to certain metro cities have increased. For example, on Easter night, the bus tickets from Goa to Bangalore are between Rs 2,500 and Rs 3,500 instead of the Rs 1500 – 1800 normal fare.
