The flight ticket prices to Goa have risen as the Diwali weekend is on its way. For October 25th, the price is Rs 9000 (Mumbai-Goa). On normal days, the cost is Rs 3500 approximately. The ticket price from Ahmedabad to Goa is around Rs 5000 usually, but on the day of Bhai Dooj it is Rs 11,400!
Flights from Kolkata are almost Rs 10,000, instead of Rs 6500, on the days near Diwali.
This year, passengers seem to want to enjoy the festive holidays to the fullest by extending their vacation to the weekend after Diwali. At the end of October, the prices for flights out of Goa has doubled on most routes. On October 30 and 31, the flight tickets from Goa to Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Kolkata will be approximately Rs 10,000. On the same days, Goa-Mumbai flights will be Rs 8000 which is more than double the normal cost.
It’s not only flight prices… bus prices have climbed sharply too! Goa-Mumbai AC sleeper buses will cost Rs 2,700-Rs 3,700 on the last two days of October.
