Flights in India to operate with no restrictions

Domestic flights in India will soon not have any capacity restrictions! This will start from October 18 onwards. This decision was made because the demand for air travel has increased.

Since September 18, carriers have been operating at 85% of their services before the pandemic.

From August 12 and September 18 the capacity cap was 72.5%. Between July 5 and August 12 it was at 65% and from June 1 to July 5 the capacity cap was 50%.

On the 9th of this month, there were 2,340 domestic flights. That is 71.5% of their pre-covid capacity.

In its order, the Ministry of Civil Aviation announced that domestic air flights will operate without any capacity restriction from October 18, 2021.
