The fourth wave of Covid-19 will most probably affect Goa by mid-June but it will most probably be milder, according to GMC dean Dr S M Bandekar. He is the head of the Covid management expert committee.
He said that the mutated viruses present aren’t strong ones. The next wave may contain Omicron BA.1 and BA.2. As there are huge chances for a fourth wave, the expert committee has warned the public to be cautious and take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of the virus. The state is experiencing a rise in cases and this has to be stopped.
The third wave in Goa began on approximately 28th December and ended in February.
