Get the details of the Goa Carnival and Shigmo parades here!

The famous Carnival of Goa will start in Panaji city on February 18! On the 19th it will be held in Margao and on the 20th it will be in Vasco. The event will conclude in Mapusa on the 21st.  You can get a glimpse of these parades at Morjim and Porvorim as well.

After the Carnival festivities have died down, Shigmo will begin on March 8 in Ponda which will be followed by the Panjim parade on March 11. The tourism director revealed that the Shigmo parades will be held at 17 centres across Goa. To adhere to noise rules, the closing time has been established at 10 pm.  The troupes have to report latest by 8:30 pm and those who are late won’t be allowed to enter.

The Carnival float parades usually conclude before 10 pm.
