Goa Airport appeals to passengers to follow Covid-19 protocols

Three passengers got into trouble for not following Covid-19 protocols at the Goa International Airport. After this incident, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) urged fliers to make sure that they follow guidelines for safety.

“Passengers feel that Covid-19 has gone. A sort of complacency has set in,” said a Goa International Airport official. Many of their masks are below their nose and they remove their PPE gowns during flights.

“AAI has put up signboards at every location, urging passengers to wear face masks and to frequently sanitize their hands. The airport is also making frequent announcements asking people to comply with safety directions,” said airport director Gagan Malik. The AAI is very serious about mask-wearing and numerous sanitization runs of the airport terminal.

At the Dabolim airbase, people from AAI told passengers to not take off their masks, sanitize their hands often, and follow the guidelines given by the director general of civil aviation (DGCA).
