Goa Airport Now Has A Milestone For Handling 100 Relief Flights

There have been a hundred relief flights and fifty Vande Bharat flights since the Covid-19 pandemic started

The number of passengers daily are at the 22,000 mark. On February 6 and 7, 144 flights were taken care of. There is definitely an increase in domestic flights. Even though the cost of airline tickets skyrocketed during Valentine’s Day and Carnival week, domestic flights were full. “The pandemic has not stopped any activity here at the airport, and in fact, we have increased the pace of upgradation at the terminal,” said Director, Gagan Malik.

With regards to rescuing stranded people, Malik stated: “All protocols have been followed, and assistance by team Goa ensured an expeditious exit of all passengers. It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction for us that we played a role in bringing back our fellow Indians.”
