To make sure tourists have a good experience and to ensure the safety of Goa’s beaches, an app has been launched by the Goa government. It will help stakeholders to keep a record of and deal with complaints regarding emergencies, garbage dumped on shores, illegal hawkers, etc.
This Beach Vigil App will be very useful for Goa Tourism, Goa Police, shack operators and Drishti. Even though the app will help violations, Chief minister Pramod Sawant said that tourists and locals also have to be responsible and keep beaches clean. Both the government and the public have to be responsible to help Goa be one of the best holiday destinations.
The agencies using the app will be able to record videos, click pictures and tag the location. Later on, the government may let all citizens use the app.
The tourism department is also making plans for beach cleaning.
