Are you a sky lover and fascinated with celestial happenings? Then get excited for 30th April and 1st May! On these days Jupiter which will look bright and red will be very near Venus (yellowish-white).
It will look like these two planets are almost touching each other! It is a very rare occurrence. The president of the Association of Friends of Astronomy (AFA) advised that sky gazers should look southeast an hour before sunrise to get the finest view of the appulse. (An appulse is when two or more planets look like they are very close to each other in the sky.)
Venus and Jupiter will be visible at 3:54 am and will start fading around 5:52 am. You can watch this event with a telescope, binoculars, or even with the naked eye.
