Goa’s first Pink Autorickshaw has arrived!

Goa’s first Pink Autorickshaw has arrived in Mapusa! Four more pink rickshaws will be arriving as well in the coming weeks. 20 of these vehicles have been allotted to Goa.

The Pink Autorickshaws are a new initiative where women rickshaw drivers will reach other women to their destinations. This will help them have a source of income. The Goa government and the Rotary International District 3170 had announced this project earlier. The initiative was named ‘Rotary-Pink Auto’.

The rickshaws have electronic metres and a GPS. They can be booked through an app. They are strictly for women drivers and women passengers only. This new service can team up with colleges and schools to pick up and drop back girls/ women.
