GTDC’s Gavin Dias Describes Life in Goa

Gavin Dias, (General Manager, Goa Tourism Development Corporation) lets us in on what his life is like in Goa:

My best memory of living in Goa…

Having unlimited fun and frolic during the school summer vacation, exploring the hinterlands, springs and plucking fruits and berries.

Life in Goa in one word can be called…

Nirvana.

My stress buster after a busy day at work…

Spending time with my babies Sofia & Zane.

The events that I look forward to most in Goa…

The Heritage Festival and the International Film Festival of India.

On weekends I head to…

Restaurants, theatres and crash in uniquely placed stand alone hotels.

My go to restaurant for a satisfying meal…

Fat Panda for Indo Chinese and Wok n Roll for South East Asian.

A local snack I cannot resist…

Cutlet Bread / Ross Omlette.

The best place to witness Goa’s wildlife is…

Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary.

What I wish I could change about Goa….

Goa’s good the way it is however if we all talk less and work more, Goa would be the best rather than plain wishful thinking.

If I weren’t in Goa, I would be…

backpacking around the world exploring different cultures and cuisines; however Goa’s is the place I would rather be.
