Height of Goa’s Magor bridge to be increased to reduce travelling time

The height of the Mangor bridge of Goa will be increased, according to MLA Salkar. It will be raised by 1.5m to 2m as certain vehicles like ambulances, heavy vehicles, fire tenders, etc can’t pass through.

Because of the bridge’s low height, buses and some other vehicles have to travel via the Chicalim circle which is almost 5-6km away.

A meeting was held between MLA Salkar, transport minister Mauvin Godinho, and South Western Railways (SWR) officials where the Mangor bridge issue was discussed. The chief minister and the railways minister have been alerted as well. It is expected that the work will be done soon.
