Found in the back roads of Saipem, Candolim, House of Lloyds’s is a magnificent restaurant set up in a beautiful garden. The house of course is the backdrop to this unique establishment. The villa is a hundred and fifty year old Portuguese styled house with an immense garden ideal for the restaurant to cater to functions and events, weddings and so forth. The surrounding neighbourhood is an inimitable illustration of the true Goa.
House of Lloyds’s, now a self venture of the owner, none other than Lloyd himself, serves a special kind of Goan cuisine that is reminiscent of the ‘Lost Goa’. At House of Lloyds’s, the food is nothing but authentic. The restaurant serves ‘the lost food of Goa’ carefully and lovingly made by Lloyd’s mother. Being home cooked food, House of Lloyds’s is nothing but the place for genuine Goan cuisine. What is uniquely significant about this establishment is that they serve the Goan food that no-one else does such as Amsol which is pork beautifully cooked in Kokum, Fejuada, Coiliolo and Suckling Roast. The usual suspects however, such as Vindaloo, Ambotik, Sorpotel have their original taste that exemplifies the olden tradition of Goan food that cannot be found in any commercial restaurant in Goa.
Furthermore to add to the uniqueness of House of Lloyds’s, not only will you find original Goan food but a contemporary ‘fusion continental BBQ’. Those of you that are familiar with the owners BBQ, Lloyd’s in Calangute, this time around at the house, Lloyd will be serving everything BBQ. Nerissa, Lloyd’s wife exclaims that the “everything will be BBQ, form starters to even deserts…this is something that no-one else does”. Not only can you enjoy pure Goan food or BBQ everyday at the House, but you can also enjoy the live gigs that take place 2-3 times a week and sip on awesome fresh fruit cocktails and smoothies made by Goa’s very best Bartender- Marcelino. And add to that, once in a month the House of Lloyds’s will also be featuring an ‘all you can eat’ buffet packed with entertainment.
