IHCL, Goa Continues On Its Path Towards A Sustainable Tomorrow

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), Goa’s largest hospitality operator and leader in the tourism sector, implemented a host of sustainability and social impact initiatives under its ESG+ framework, Paathya. In line with this year’s theme of ‘Only One Earth’, the company conducted a plantation and distribution drive of over 4000 saplings at its various properties spread across the length and breadth of the state.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Vincent Ramos, Senior Vice President – IHCL, Goa said, “It is imperative for each of us to act upon the one or more aspects of the triple planetary emergency in order reset the balance with nature. At IHCL, inclusion and business responsibility is embedded in our DNA. Under Paathya, we will continue to pioneer sustainable practices in our pursuit towards excellence and creating benchmark in the tourism industry.”

Additionally, the company has undertaken tangible measures under Paathya’s six key pillars of Environmental Stewardship, Social Responsibility, Excellence in Governance, Preserving Heritage, Value Chain Transformation, and Sustainable Growth. With defined short and long-term goals to be fulfilled by 2030 under Paathya, IHCL continues its endeavor towards building a better tomorrow with several initiatives including Earth Check Certification, Waste Management, Green Footprint, EV Charging, Energy Conservation, Livelihood Impact and Heritage.

Derived from the Sanskrit term पथ्य, inferring a path, Paathya aims tolead positive change guided by IHCL’s core values of Trustof all stakeholders, Awarenessaround the needs of our ecosystem and Joy at heart.
