Hey book-lovers of Goa! You’re in for a treat. A bus terminus at Marcel will be getting a public library containing more than 20,000 books!
It will be 243 sqm. The directorate of art and culture is setting it up. Many students, readers, and senior citizens in that area were longing for a library for quite some time. When the new bus terminus at Marcel was inaugurated, the department jumped at the opportunity to ask for space for a library.
Those who are waiting for buses will have a productive way to spend their time through this library. All types of books will be available. This includes e-books too.
Art and culture minister Govind Gaude said that they have plans for every taluka to have ‘libraries on wheels’. The Ponda library will be upgraded so that students can prepare for exams like UPSC and GPSC.
