KTC Goa now has 50 electric buses!

Now, there are 50 electric buses under KTC Goa. It’s not going to stop here. The corporation had ordered 100 mini electric buses. They are expecting the delivery by December 2022.

35 e-buses were operating initially. Now the target for obtaining 50 of them has been achieved. KTC was quite pleased with the vehicles and that’s why the 100 mini e-buses were ordered. The 9-metre buses have 35 seats. They contain CCTV cameras for passengers’ safety,  an emergency button, USB ports, and even more facilities. These buses are under the FAME India scheme. Olectra Greentech Limited is the supplier.

Electric vehicles reduce the greenhouse effect as no air is needed for combustion like an internal combustion engine. They will reduce carbon emissions and improve Goa’s air quality.
