Let the show begin!!! Sound, light, action …..

The 53rd edition of IFFI took off to a grand start at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor stadium located in Dona Paula. Heralding the start of 9 days of celebration of cinema, the inauguration programme was an event to remember.

Organised under the huge air-conditioned circular dome to a packed hall, the grand inaugural ceremony set the tone for the annual extravaganza for the film industry. While the opening film was screened in four venues some distance away, the formal inauguration at the stadium was curated and presented in a lavish scale – lavish enough to take the breath away.

Spectacular at every level and layer of speeches, felicitations, performances and cinematography, it was a quintessential statement of “Let the show begin….!”
