Mapusa’s Tar Bridge to open in May!

Here is some good news for those who travel through Mapusa. The Tar bridge is almost ready and it is very likely that the public can use it by mid-May.

Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza revealed that the work is making great progress and it is expected to be completed by the deadline. Right now, the project is in its final stages. The casting process will take 5 days followed by curing which will take place over 14 days. While this is happening approach roads, crash barriers, etc, will be constructed.

This bridge is an important connection for nearby villages like Moira, Aldona, Bastora, Uccassaim, etc. The river will be desilted annually and its water hyacinths will be removed.
