Monsoon season will end in Goa by mid-October

The monsoon season will end in Goa only after October 15.

When moisture reduces and rainfall doesn’t happen for five consecutive days then the monsoon has withdrawn. The normal date of monsoon withdrawal is October 14.

On both sides of the coastline of the nation, active cyclonic circulations are present at the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.

Last year, the monsoon season ended on October 28. In 2019, it ended on October 16. In 2018, it withdrew on October 25 while in 2017 it went away on October 24. In 2016, the monsoon withdrew on October 15.

The season’s rainfall for India Meteorological Department (IMD) ends on September 30. Then they change the rainfall category from monsoon (June to September) to post-monsoon (October to December).
