Mums Kitchen

This 18 year old restaurant, built up gradually is on the Miramar road leading towards the beach. Mum’s Kitchen serves you a variety of authentic Goan dishes in the Saraswat and Catholic style, following recipes passed down generations. It is one of the few restaurants in Goa certified by ISO 22000 2005 Bureau Veritas Quality International.

The food: Every dish offered has a choice of a minimum of 2 to 3 flavour bases for gravy. Mum’s has come a long way, emphasising on the authenticity of their elaborate menu and are proud about reintroducing Goan dishes that seem to be phasing out. The Chef recommends red beans with a choice of chicken, pork or beef or the fish fried in rice flour.

The people behind it: Owned by Rony Martins, the place started off with complete guidance from Ronys’ late mother, who ensured the quality of flavours for their dishes. With support and coordination of his wife Suzette, the restaurant has evolved into a feasting joint. Their main motto has been ‘Move to save Goan cuisine’ and in accordance to that they are innovating and expanding further.
