My Wildlife Odyssey – A Photographic Journey is a 100-page coffee-table book which is authored by Naitik Jain. This book contains photographs along with a brief description of the author’s journey across six national parks in India. These national parks are – Kanha National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park, Tadoba National Park, Jim Corbett National Park, Ranthambore National Park and Nagzira National Park, all of which are protected reserves boasting immense beauty and wildlife.
The journey started when he was 12 years old, with him visiting the parks during his school term breaks. He visited the parks with his mother, facing harsh weather in extreme heat. Several times he faced disappointment by not being able to spot any wild animals and returning back.
This book has also been placed in over 100 book stores all over India by Crossword and is also made available on e-commerce websites. An e-Book has also been made so as to spread the reach worldwide.
The book has beautiful photographs of endangered species such as tigers, leopards, boars, wild dogs and other wild animals clicked in their natural habitat along with picturesque pictures of the scenery near these parks.
This painting has been made to replicate the tiger in the photograph, so as to give users an opportunity to see the beauty of a photograph and a painting emerged into a single print.
We have taken a unique approach to the cover image on the book. The tiger has been painted by professional artist and author, Rina Jain.
Through this book, the author Naitik Jain highlights the importance of preserving the environment, so that these beautiful creatures can continue to survive in their natural habitat and also raise awareness to the public about the existence of these animals and their habitat.
Wildlife and nature preservation is a very important cause in today’s day and age and a growing need for this awareness.
