The new Mandovi bridge will be closed from November 2 to 22 (between 10 pm and 6 am). This decision has been taken as maintenance work has to be completed. Light vehicles will have to use the old Mandovi bridge while heavy vehicles can use the Atal Setu.
The elastomeric expansion joints and bearings of the new Mandovi bridge will be replaced. The order to close the bridge was given by Executive engineer Atmaram Gawade.
