The Panjim pedestrian bridge (which will be between the EDC Patto complex to Mala and Fontainhas over the Rua de Ourem creek) will most probably be completed by the end of June! It is 3 metres wide.
It will be next to the Mangrove Boardwalk which is behind the Central library at Patto and could even become a tourist spot! The bridge will have a ramp for disabled people to move freely. It is a part of the Smart City Mission. No water was piled this time, which cut down delays. 50 metres of the bridge will be over the Rua de Ourem creek.
Eighteen steel cables with steel railings to support the bridge and ample illumination are being installed.
Presently, one pedestrian bridge connects EDC’s Patto complex and the old town of Panaji. There are 3 bridges for vehicles over the creek.
