No compulsory testing or curbs for Goa vacationers

Those wanting to have a vacation in the stunning state of Goa do not have to go through compulsory testing or strict SOPs for those entering the state. “There will be no compulsory testing as of now and whoever is coming in and has any symptoms, should get themselves tested willingly,” Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant announced. No lockdown is going to be enforced as well.

Sawant had collected information about Covid-19 cases in neighbouring states. “Precautions are our biggest weapon. Our economic activities have just begun normalizing and there is no point in having a lockdown at present. We are alerting those who are coming into Goa. It is equally important for those in Goa to also take precautions,” he said.

The new reported Covid-19 cases in Goa are inconsistent and not steadily rising. The chief minister said that the state is carrying out all the needed precautions.
