Now you can do film shoots in the Colvale jail!

Now you can do film shoots in Goa in a unique location – the Colvale jail! For a half-day shoot, the state government has fixed the price at Rs.5000 while a full day shoot is priced at Rs.10,000.

There are spaces in Colvale’s central jail that are chosen for this purpose. Those who are interested must get permission in advance or a NOC from the inspector general of prisons (IGP) in Panaji. The charges will have to be paid beforehand.

Permission will be granted if the film shoot will not cause any hindrances to the normal functioning of the prison. Filming can be done only at the time given by the prison authorities. Capturing any jail staff or prisoners on film is strictly forbidden. Contact with prisoners isn’t allowed as well.
