Paperless ticketing on four trains!

Paperless ticketing through Hand Held Terminals (HHT) was given to the Travelling Ticket Examiners of the South Western Railway’s Hubballi division. It will be introduced to four trains. HHT will replace manual paper as it is a device connected to a network. It makes checking train tickets much more convenient.

The ticket examiners who are on duty can download the working chart on-board. The HHT is connected to the Passenger Reservation System. It updates the passengers that haven’t joined, ticket cancellations, etc, in the system.

The trains which will have Hand Held Terminals (HHT) are 20653/20654 KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi-KSR Bengaluru Express, 16543/16544 Yesvantpur-SSS Hubballi-Yesvantpur Express, 16589/16590 Bengaluru-Miraj-Bengaluru Rani Chennamma Express, and 17309/17310 YesvantpurVasco-Yesvantpur Express.
