Patnem Beach

Patnem beach is not a stunning, the shoreline is pretty far away from the shacks and the welcome shadows of the palms. But it has is a unique charm that draws you in. The crowd here is mainly European. It provides a safe haven for those who value their privacy. There are a range of huts with private bathrooms to stay in right there on the beach.

Things to do: Patnem Beach is dotted with a healthy number of shacks and restaurants but the one that truly stands out is Home. Considered to be the ‘it’ place for brunches, Home dishes out some delightfully fresh and sumptuous meals for its customers. There is not much nightlife at Patnem but the shacks do have live music sometimes and tourists are welcome to perform onstage as well.

Location: South Goa, 45 kilometers (28 miles) from Margao and 78 kilometers (48 miles) from Panaji. The closest main railway station is Margao. Canacona is the local railway station nearby.
