Get ready for a partial solar eclipse in Goa on October 25! It shall be visible from many parts of India and will begin in the afternoon. However, the eclipse’s ending won’t be visible as it will take place after sunset.
At 5 pm, the eclipse will begin. The obscuration will be 17% during the ‘Greatest Eclipse’. Its duration is approximately 1 hour. ‘Greatest Eclipse’ is the moment when a lot of the sun will be eclipsed. If this was a total solar eclipse, the obscuration would be 100%.
Its duration will be approximately 1 hour. This eclipse will also be visible in the Middle East, western Asia, Europe, North Atlantic Ocean, North Indian Ocean, etc.
Warning! Do NOT view the eclipse with the naked eye. The IMD said that seeing the eclipse this way even for a short time can cause permanent eye damage and could even lead to blindness. To safely see it, you can use filters like black polymer, aluminized Mylar, shade number 14 welding glass, etc.
