Some progress in Goa… The major government hospitals will be getting their own solar plants! These include GMC, Asilo and Hospicio.
To promote renewable energy and help our planet, financial assistance will be given to those to want to own an electric vehicle. Other projects are in the pipeline as well like setting up a biomass briquetting plant and conducting a feasibility study on having micro-hydropower projects all over the state.
The 50% subsidy for solar rooftops in residential areas will be valid from 2022-2023. A Rs.10 crore provision has been made for this. Underground cabling was suggested for major towns and cities in Goa. Other work will be done to improve the reliability of power supply in North and South Goa.
